FOR STLFTA MEMBERS
Real benefits for the people behind the window.
Food truck owners, cooks and crew run on long days, tight margins and no HR department. If you’re 1099, part-time, seasonal or running your own truck, you’ve been priced as a market of one. This program changes that.
The St. Louis Food Truck Association and Maddock Insurance Group are opening a path to group benefits for members and their families, starting with MaxGuard at $279 a month.
Takes a few minutes. See what you'd pay and whether the program is a good fit, before you commit to anything.

WHY STLFTA
Buying benefits on your own shouldn’t eat your whole margin.
The individual market treats everyone who buys on their own as a market of one, and prices them that way. In 2026, what marketplace enrollees pay each month jumped 58% on average (KFF).
Group benefits cost less because the group absorbs the risk. STLFTA brought this program to its members with Maddock Insurance Group, so the people who keep St. Louis fed can get group pricing too.
This is your way in.

What that means
A Schedule K-1. A Form 1095. A documented ownership relationship — not a membership card.
THE WORKING OWNER MODEL
You don't buy a plan. You join a group.
Behind the program is a data research company. It needs consistent, real-world health and consumer data from working people. In exchange for providing it, you become a Working Owner and that status is what opens access to the company's group health benefit options.
STEP 01
See if it's a fit
A short prospect questionnaire and review. Minutes, online, no phone call required.
STEP 02
Become a Working Owner
You hold a limited partner ownership interest in the company.
STEP 03
Hold up your end
One survey a month through the member app — a few moments. You’re paid $10 for it. Your answers are anonymous, and we never sell your personal information.
STEP 04
Choose your benefits
GigCare or MaxGuard, for yourself or your family.
Eligibility to participate in the employer-sponsored group health plan requires Working Owner status and meeting program requirements.
TWO WAYS IN
Most people know which one is theirs in about a minute.
The difference is how much you want covered and how much you want to pay. Both are available for an individual or a family.
Which one is yours?
Three questions. No email, no phone number.
If you were hospitalized tomorrow, what would the bill do to you?
Right now, which matters more?
How do you actually use care?

The Fine Print
This program asks something of you, and it isn't right for everyone. Here is all of it, up front, where you can actually weigh it.
YOU HAVE A JOB TO DO
One survey a month through the member app — a few moments, and you’re paid $10 for it. It isn’t optional; it’s how the model works. Miss them and you get a three-month grace period, then the plan ends. Your answers are anonymous, and we never sell your personal information.
SPECIALTY DRUGS AREN'T COVERED
Check your prescriptions before you enroll — you can do it inside the application, against the formulary for whichever product you're considering.
BILLED FOR THE MONTH AHEAD
You're billed on the 20th of each month for the month that follows, so you always pay before the month you're covered, never after.
YOU CAN LEAVE
Cancel any time after the first month. No term, no exit penalty.
NETWORKS AREN'T ADMINISTRATORS
GigCare and MaxGuard use national provider networks. A separate plan administrator handles your claims, billing and questions. Our team is available too.
BANK ACCOUNT ONLY
No cards. It has to be the same account your $10 survey payment is deposited into.
THE 23RD IS THE CUTOFF
Enroll by the 23rd to start on the 1st of the following month. Miss it and your start date moves out a month.

QUESTIONS
Asked and answered.
GigCare is the benefits offered to Working Owners of Population Science Management. Becoming a Working Owner is what makes you eligible to participate in the employer-sponsored group health plan, subject to program requirements.
If keeping your monthly bill low matters most, and on a truck it usually does, MaxGuard is built for that: it starts at $279 a month for an individual and can cover you or your whole family. If you’d rather have major medical, GigCare is there too. The online review shows you both, with your real rates.
STLFTA wanted its members to have a real option for benefits, so it partnered with Maddock Insurance Group, the broker that brought this program to you. Enrollment runs on Caravan, the technology platform behind the program: you take the review, see your rate and enroll online, start to finish, on your own schedule.
You sign an ownership agreement and hold a fractional limited partner ownership interest in the company. In return for providing monthly health and consumer data, you're compensated and you receive a Schedule K-1 and a Form 1095 — the paperwork of a real, documented relationship.
A few moments. One survey a month, completed in the member app, and you’re paid $10 for it. Your answers are anonymous, and we never sell your personal information.
You have a three-month grace period. Beyond that, the plan is cancelled — survey participation is what keeps you in good standing as a Working Owner.
Some answers rule the program out before the review even runs — if that happens, you'll see it on screen along with other directions worth looking at, no call required. If you clear that stage, an independent review decides suitability and the result comes back to our team, who will be in touch either way.
Yes. Both GigCare and MaxGuard are available for an individual or a family. You'll provide details for everyone you're covering during enrollment.
GigCare starts at $600 a month for an individual; MaxGuard starts at $279. Your actual rate depends on your age, location, family size and the plan you choose — the online review shows you your number.
You're billed on the 20th of each month for the month that follows. Payment comes from a bank account (the same one your survey payment is deposited into), not a card.
GigCare uses a national PPO network; MaxGuard uses a national network. You can look up providers and check your prescriptions inside the application before you commit.
Any time after your first month. There's no term and no exit penalty.
